From the Foodie series.

It was a surprising pleasure to paint an apple, possibly for the first time (I really cant recall ever painting one before!). A friend and cheese maker commissioned this specific apple that his grandmother and mother both insist on using for their pies as he continues this family tradition himself.

I was glad to live near a local, neighborhood fishtown shop called Riverwards Produce, owned by a man passionate about apples. Thanks Vince, for being a crazy vegan and making the neighborhood better.
